I'm going to be like Joey Lawrence and say...Whoa. It's been a weekend to say the least.
Every Father's Day weekend, my dad likes to get away from town and we've done different things - its with my brother, sister and I. This year, my very soon to be sister-in-law came with us. Three years ago, we got a Pontoon at Green River. Two years ago, we got a Pontoon on Saturday and went white water rafting on that Sunday. Last year, we just went and played a round of golf. This year, we went to Grayson State Park and played golf on Saturday and Pontoon boat on Sunday.
I'm plumb worn out!!
The golf course was a championship course and gorgeous! Being on a new exercise kick, I decided to forgo the golf cart and walk the course as much as possible. It was a very hilly course and the holes were far apart, but I was able to walk about 12 of the holes. Even with it being a long and hard course, I still shot an 89 and beat my Dad by one stroke :) Needless to say, I woke up Sunday sore and exhausted.
Sunday, we went out early and rented a pontoon boat on Grayson Lake. I was careful to put sunscreen on so I wouldn't burn. We swam, floated, laid out, chit-chatted, drank beer, etc. By the end of the day, I was drunk, tired, and sunburned on my face. I somehow forgot to apply it on my face...doh!
Being Monday, I'm not moving too fast. I have zero desire to do anything today. I'm getting old, I think! But with all that activity that I did this weekend and all of last week, I'm a bit frustrated. I've gained 5 pounds instead of losing it!!!! I know I'm not eating perfectly, but obviously no more than usual either. But how in the world do I gain 5 pounds from working out?!??! I'm not doing any heavy lifting, so it doesn't' make any sense.
