I'll never forget it. It was June of 2007: the first night of my master's elementary education class "Teaching Reading and Writing". The professor asked us to stand up and introduce ourselves one by one and while doing so, tell our favorite book or author. After half of the class had already had their turn, having mentioned books and authors I didn't recognize, I stood up, said my name, and then decided to be bluntly honest...I said that I didn't really like reading and just preferred to see the movie.

Squee/fangirling moment re: 2012 upcoming movies

Okay guys...so I got this week's Entertainment Weekly in the mail and while at home on my lunch break, started flipping through it. First thing I come to?  This...

UM...HELLO!!  Channing and Alex shirtless in the same picture?  Go ahead and call this my triple-stare-down-sigh.....aaaahhhhhh..... This picture (but not the article because who actually needs to read it after that nice surprise?) got me flipping through the rest of the magazine. That's when I realized that this EW was the 2012 movie preview issue and let me tell you...that's when I did some major fangirling. The last several years have been horrible movie years...but this year looks incredible!  Here's a few of the films I'm anticipating the most:

Resolute...shuns

So, it's day three of 2012 and I haven't set my yearly resolutions yet. I'm not sure why I've been so reluctant/slow/lazy at setting them...all I know is that I'm okay so far that I haven't officially done it...yet. That's the key word...YET. Because I have to set them. I always have and I probably always will (well sort of...last year was a weird year). So, I guess there's no better time than the present, eh? Here's a few of my "goals" for the next year:

1. Read 30 books.
2. Finish MM and start querying it for agents.
3. Do not tell myself that I suck at writing. Just shut up the internal put-downs and get busy.
4. Get back to my crafty roots and complete 25 craft/decor/DIY/home remodel projects during 2012
5. Get my dog under control/trained. 

I think that'll keep me busy enough. What's your goals for this year?
